Leonardo DiCaprio is a huge star in the film industry, this is shown by on the gaurdian film power 100, as Leonardo DiCaprio has come third on this list of people who are involved in the film industry such as; actors, directors etc. Also this shows that Leonardo DiCaprio is the top ctor in this list too. He is a huge film star as he has made a very large amount of money doing what he does in the film industry featuring in such big hits as 'Titanic, Shutter Island, Inception and Shakespeare in love'.

DiCaprio has a sort of old fashioned, cocky, clever, action packed persona. His persona comes into most of the films he does as he gets the parts that come into his persona. His persona jumps out at the audience in the 2010 blockbuster 'Shutter Island', as he plays a 1950's marshall who has been sent to a island that is a mental hospital. Already we get the old fashioned look from this film, also 'Shutter Island' is jam packed with action which fits in with DiCaprios persona. Also in this film he has a cocky sort of personality as he thinks he knows best and better than everyone else around him, this definatley links in with his persona.



I believe this persona and personality that DiCaprio gives off to the audience has helped him become the top actor in the Gaurdian power 100. We get the idea that this list of people who are involved in film is mainly about how much money he/she has made. This shows that DiCaprio's style of acting works as he has made the big time when it comes to money. In most of the films he plays in are the same sort of part as they link in heavily with his persona and the film makers know this is a easy way of making money at the box office. Most of the major parts he has had have made a few million/billion pounds such as titanic made $1,842,879,955 all together and inception made $60.4 million in its opening weekend.
